Trail Riding Lessons
Hunt View Riding Academy offers a trial riding lesson experience unlike any other in the area. Hunt View Riding Academy counts with acres of privately owned fields and woods adjacent to Seneca Creek State Park. The academy is located an easy 15 minute drive from Potomac, Germantown, Gaithesburg, Darnestown and Poolesville. The farm counts with miles of wonderful trails. The trail riding staff are professional and experienced with a passion for trail riding and horses.
Trail Ride Lessons must be scheduled at least 2 days in advance. Trail Ride Lessons are given Mondays-Sundays at 10 am or 1 pm and prices are found below.
The suggested age for riders on the beginners trail lesson is 8 and up. For the experienced trail ride lesson is 15 and up. For younger or inexperienced riders we offer a modified trail lesson experience accommodating the experience and age of the rider. Please come in long pants, comfortable clothing and boots with a small heel. We provide helmets for trail riders.
To book a trail ride lesson:
1. Text the words "Trail ride lesson" to 301-366-6458
2. Please include in your text the level of trail ride lesson you wish, the number of riders or any questions you may have about date
availability.
3. You will then receive a secure Square payment link via text. Once payment is made you will receive reservation confirmation.
4. Please note:
-Plan to be 5 minutes early as trail ride lessons begin on time. Riders who cannot keep their scheduled appointment must notify Hunt View Riding Academy staff within 24 hours to re-schedule , otherwise if rider is a no-show or more than 15 minutes late the lesson ride will be charged as having been attended.
*INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: IN CASE OF RAIN, THUNDERSTORMS , ICE, OCCURRING ON THE SCHEDULED TRAIL RIDE DATE, THE RIDE WILL BE RESCHEDULED TO A LATER DATE. THE ACADEMY WILL CONTACT YOU IN CASE OF INCOMING INCLEMENT WEATHER TO RESCHEDULE. PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ONCE THE TRAIL RIDE HAS BEEN BOOKED. A CREDIT CAN BE ISSUED FOR USE FOR A TRAIL RIDE ONLY FOR A LATER AVAILABLE DATE.

BEGINNERS TRAIL RIDE LESSON : 60-MINUTE WALKING PACE $190 per rider
INTERMEDIATE TRAIL RIDE LESSON: 60-MINUTE WALKING,TROT PACE $ 220 per rider
ADVANCED TRAIL RIDE LESSON: 90-MINUTE WALK, TROT, CANTER PACE $ 290 per rider
MASTERS TRAIL RIDE LESSON: 120-MINUTE WALK, TROT, CANTER, GALLOP, WATER CROSSING, BRIDGES $ 340
